Sean Andrew, PA-C


Sean Andrew was born and grew up in Westwood, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology at James Madison University and received a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from MGH Institute of Health Professions. He spent several years working in general orthopedics before Joining Dr. Martin’s Team in the Massachusetts General Hospital Sports Medicine Division. Clinical interests include: Hip arthroscopy, Athletic injuries of the shoulder, knees and hips, Soft tissue injuries of the knee including ligament and meniscal injuries, Soft tissue injuries of the shoulder including rotator cuff and labrum tears.

Jeffrey S. Mun, BA, Research Fellow


Jeff grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and swam on the varsity team at Swarthmore College. After graduating in 2020, he conducted a year of endocrinology research through the Intramural Research Training Award program at the National Institute of Health Clinical Center. He currently attends Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, where he has completed his first three years. He is excited to join Dr. Martin’s research team as a research fellow. Outside of medicine, Jeff enjoys trail running, triathlon, and baking.

Jeffrey Munn, BA

Brandon J. Allen, BA, Research Assistant


Brandon is from Chantilly, VA and graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. as a biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology major and was a captain of the men’s lacrosse team. He has been conducting orthopedic spine research since the spring of 2019 at the National Spine Health Foundation under the guidance of Dr. Rita Roy and Dr. Colin Haines at the Virginia Spine Institute. Brandon’s interest in joining Dr. Martin’s research team originates from his own experiences as an athlete and overcoming injuries through proper treatment. He will be applying to medical school next year. In his free time, Brandon enjoys golfing, fishing, staying active, and watching sports.

Rachel L. Poutre, BS, Research Assistant


Rachel is from Long Island, New York and graduated from Duke university with a BS in Evolutionary Anthropology and minors in chemistry and biology. She conducted orthopedic surgery research at Duke with interests in reconstruction and biomechanics. She hopes to begin medical school in 2026 and is excited to be joining the team. In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, running, pilates, and crochet.

Srish S. Chenna, BSE, Research Assistant 


Srish is from Newark, DE, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Bioengineering. Before joining Dr. Martin’s team, Srish researched intervertebral disc degeneration at the Hospital for Special Surgery / Weill Cornell Medicine and tendon biomechanics at McKay Orthopedics Research Laboratory, Perelman School of Medicine. Srish’s interests lie at the intersection of medicine, Bioengineering, and health policy, and he looks to pursue this further during his research year. Outside of medicine, Srish enjoys playing tennis, cycling, running, skiing, and learning about watchmaking.
